So, let's just pretend it hasn't been 5 months since I've blogged and that way I don't have to write the obligatory paragraph about how busy I've been and how busy the kids have been, etc. Life is really, really good. I have no good excuse for not blogging but I WANT to blog. I really, really do. So. Moving on.
Last week we went to San Antonio for several fun occasions. The first night we got there Mom and I got to see Andrew propose to his girlfriend of 5 years, Dawn. It is the only in person proposal I have ever had the privilege of attending and it was so sweet!
The next day we went to Marburger Orchard in Fredericksburg to pick strawberries. The kids loved it!
Foster kept eating the strawberries before I could get them in the basket. "More Trawbeyes!"
Grayson was a great little picker and would have gone for hours if we'd let him.
The day was gorgeous and we headed into town to eat at The Herb Farm . FANTASTIC food and a gorgeous area for the kids to wander around. So glad mom told us about it - I can't wait to get there again!
We topped off the day with some pictures in the bluebonnets. The wildflowers this year made even the trek up and down 35 extremely enjoyable. (So you know they had to be good.)
We wound down, or rather UP, the week with house hunting with Drew and Dawn, playtime with friends, a great little church carnival, dinner at our favorite kid friendly SA spot, Bigz and a day in Mary Helen and Mike's backyard. And lots and lots of play in Grandma's backyard (that resembles a park more than a backyard).
We ended the week celebrating Everett's 2nd birthday with the Keith's family. The kids had a great time together and I'm so glad we were able to go. Pictures to come once I download them from the little thingy... the proper name escapes me... memory stick? that Keith's dad gave me.
Hopefully, I'll have them up very soon. Or at least in less than 5 months.
So glad you're back!
